Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer celebrated its 50th anniversary on December 6! The Rankin-Bass production of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer was the longest running holiday special of all time. To celebrating Santa’s most famous reindeer Little Dude and I decided to make some Reindeer Prints to go with our Snowman Ornaments.
I am so proud that my Little Dude wanted to make more crafts. My love for crafts is definitely rubbing off on him. Since he was home sick for a few days, I also needed to keep him entertained and calm. Our Reindeer Print were perfect to keep him busy and happy! And they fuel my love for hand and foot print crafts! I love how these turned out. One of my all time favorites! Reindeer Prints could also be a ornament just tie some string to the back or they can be hung up.
What you need:
Small 5×5 Canvas
Brown paint
Black paint sharpie
Red glitter glue
Silver sparkle paint
Little Thumbs & pointer fingers
How to:
- Dip little thumbs into brown paint, then press onto the canvas.
- Repeat and place it next to the other thumb to make the Reindeer’s body.
- Dip little thumb into brown paint again and turn canvas to the side to make a print for the Reindeer’s head.
- Draw an upside down V with the Black Paint Sharpie from each horizontal thumb to make the Reindeer’s legs.
- Dip the pointer finger into the brown paint and then press the point on the end of each line (4) of the V to make the Reindeer’s feet.
- Let dry.
- Glue on eyes.
- Use Red Glitter Glue to make the Rudolfs’ red nose.
- Draw antlers with the Black Paint Sharpie.
- Paint around Reindeer with silver glitter paint to make it look like snow.
Have fun!
