Reindeer final

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer celebrated its 50th anniversary on December 6! The Rankin-Bass production of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer was the longest running holiday special of all time. To celebrating Santa’s most famous reindeer Little Dude and I decided to make some Reindeer Prints to go with our Snowman Ornaments.

I am so proud that my Little Dude wanted to make more crafts. My love for crafts is definitely rubbing off on him. Since he was home sick for a few days, I also needed to keep him entertained and calm. Our Reindeer Print were perfect to keep him busy and happy! And they fuel my love for hand and foot print crafts! I love how these turned out. One of my all time favorites!  Reindeer Prints could also be a ornament just tie some string to the back or they can be hung up.

Reindeer prep

What you need:

Small 5×5 Canvas
Brown paint
Black paint sharpie
Red glitter glue
Silver sparkle paint
Little Thumbs & pointer fingers

Reindeer steps

How to:

  1. Dip little thumbs into brown paint, then press onto the canvas.
  2. Repeat and place it next to the other thumb to make the Reindeer’s body.
  3. Dip little thumb into brown paint again and turn canvas to the side to make a print for the Reindeer’s head.
  4. Draw an upside down V with the Black Paint Sharpie from each horizontal thumb to make the Reindeer’s legs.
  5. Dip the pointer finger into the brown paint and then press the point on the end of each line (4) of the V to make the Reindeer’s feet.
  6. Let dry.
  7. Glue on eyes.
  8. Use Red Glitter Glue to make the Rudolfs’ red nose.
  9. Draw antlers with the Black Paint Sharpie.
  10. Paint around Reindeer with silver glitter paint to make it look like snow.

Have fun!
